Customers can challenge their listing on the Storer Check database. The initial challenge must be sent to the SSA UK using the contact us form on this website or via direct email. The form must include all details of why they believe the listing to be incorrect. Customers should remember that in most cases consenting to be listed on Storer Check is a requirement to store with an SSA UK member.
The SSA UK will acknowledge receipt of all challenges within 7 days.
The initial investigation will be completed by the Self Storage Association United Kingdom (SSA UK) and will be completed no later than 6 weeks after the request is received unless further information has been requested of the Customer in which case the timeline will be extended by each day beyond 5 days that the Customer takes to respond to such a request.
The decision will be to accept the dispute and remove or amend the listing as requested, to amend the listing based on the information provided in the challenge or to reject the challenge.
If the customer disagrees with the decision they can appeal and the matter will be decided by a UK legal firm of the choosing of the SSA UK. There is a £400 fee for this service that is fully refundable if the ruling is in the favour of the customer and the original decision is amended in any way.
This dispute policy does not impeded the customers normal rights under UK consumer or data protection legislation.
